Fishing Report, June 2021
Fishing is definitely improving day by day near to Caño Island and in front of Corcovado National Park. We have had constant good-sized wahoo bites and after a few weeks of absence the yellowfin tunas are making a comeback and we have caught several.
Due to the seasonal rains, rivers begin to shed branches, logs and other floating objects which attract large predators since these objects are used by small fish and crustaceans as hiding places.
On the coast, as usual throughout the year, the Roosters, Mackerels, Jacks… are present in our fishing days.
As for river fishing, these are the months when generally fishing is better upstream, looking for snook, mangrove snapper, tarpon…
