Sport fishing in Sierpe, Costa Rica

Fishing Report, December 2024

In December we are having very good fishing, both in the ocean and in the estuary.

Near Caño Island and in front of Corcovado National Park yellowfin tuna have been constantly biting our trolling lures. On the other hand, in the jigging mode, the Almaco Jacks, red snappers, and African pompanos are biting. Along the coast we have had many roosters, some bigeye trevally and bluefin trevally as well.

In the estuary, mangrove snappers and corvinas are very active.

We have very few free open days  for the next few weeks, so if you haven’t already, contact us and make your reservation now.
