Sport fishing in Sierpe, Costa Rica

Fishing Report, January 2023

In January we have had good fishing near the coast. As usual, schools of sardines are coming to spawn, so predators such as Roosters, Mackerels, Jacks, Snappers, etc, are close to them. The fish are biting our trolling lures, topwater lures and we even been catching them with fly fishing tackle.

Near to Caño Island we have had some wahoos, yellowfin tunas, groupers and can still catch some mahi mahi.

Fishing in the estuary is also very good, we have caught many mangrove snappers and some corvinas.

February is practically sold out, but you can contact us and ask in case we get any cancellations. For March, we still have a few days available, so book your fishing trip now
